Hyundai Motor CIS, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company in Russia, becomes a general partner of the BRICS and SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Summits 2015 scheduled to be held from July 8 to 10, 2015 in Ufa, Russia.
As a partner of the BRICS and SCO Summits 2015, Hyundai Motor CIS will provide 232 Hyundai vehicles – 130 units of i40, 52 units of Genesis, 40 units of Equus and 10 units of H-1 minibuses.
A handover ceremony of the official fleet took place on June 24 at the Congress Hall of Ufa in the presence of Hyundai Motor CIS’s General Director Koo Young Key, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Nagorny Vladimir Alexandrovich, Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Mirsayapov Ruslan Zagitovich, Chairman of the Traffic and Road Facilities State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan Munirov Ilias Yakhievich, Director of INO Office-group SCO BRICS of Ufa-2015 Fadeev Nikolay Sergeevich and General Director of the State Unitary Enterprise ‘Bashavtotrans’ Klug Alexy Yurievich.
Hyundai Motor CIS’s General Director Koo Young Kee said, “We are honored to become an official partner of the BRICS and SCO Summit 2015 in Ufa and provide our cars for heads of states and distinguished participants. Hyundai Motor was named the ‘Most Beloved Mass Market Brand’ and won the Russian ‘Car of the Year’ award for its Genesis premium sedan and the Solaris at the 15th anniversary ‘Car of the Year’ award ceremony on April 23. Heads of states to the summit will ride the cars of the ‘Most Beloved Mass Market Brand’ including the ‘Car of the Year’ Genesis premium sedan.
