Will Jaguar become a sacred cow?

Jaguar is a proud brand with a long history, the name alone evokes both good and bad emotions to anyone associsted with the marque. So the the news that TATA are considering purchasing this automotive jewel in Uncle Henry's fire sale can only be a worry to us all.
Sir William Lyons gave us vehicles of exquisite beauty and even now, some forty- fifty years after they first exploded on the scene a D-type or even an E-Type will still cause men of a certain age to remain seated for a moment or three after considering them.
Take a theoretical journey with me for just a second, that Jaguar is actually sold to an Indian concern so large that it should belong to a James Bond bad guy " Welcome to Mumbai, Mr Bond!"
Have you ever experienced the build quality of an Indian built motor vehicle? No, well the comparison would be British Leyland circa 1973, doors will no longer fit in the apertures they were designed for and fall off, oil leaks will make a welcome return and new Jaguars will rust quietly away on wharves whilst waiting for the shipment to their new keepers across the globe. Not much change there then!
Thanks to the incentives offered to manufacturers by the Indian government, each new Jaguar will be largely hand built. At fellow Ford reject, Aston Martin, used to place a plaque on each engine showing the assemblers name. An Indian built Jaguar will take this maxim to new heights, so each part of your new car will be inscribed with the handlers name. On delivery, not only will you receive an the customary owners manual & service book, but the supply of a Mumbai phonebook will enable you to contact the person directly involved, should any part fail to operate. This revolutionary concept will render the warranty department obsolete overnight saving the company millions!
But seriously, Jaguar has come a long way in terms of quality since those horror days, Ford are bleeding money and the survival of that company partly depends on the sale of Jaguar (and Land-Rover). Hopefully the future health and reputation of these two automotive icons will not be sacrificed to the mighty dollar. Nothings certain in life but they deserve a future, one in which they continue to grow and improve under the control of an understanding owner.
