Too SMART for its own good!

AUTOLOUD is back on four wheels!
Sitting in the driveway is a triumph of German engineering. This rear engined, turbocharged, sequential gearboxed, two door coupe is also fitted with a clear roof and to aid handling, has wider rear tyres than front ones!
Now for those of you thinking PORSCHE, Think again!
With fuel economy at around 4L/100km, Maxwell , as he has been christened, is no Porsche, he is too SMART for that!
Thats right, a SMART has taken up residence at stately AUTOLOUD manor! To be honest this little car is a revelation, it has great performance, I love the sequential box, and the handling, well ,I do slow down for roundabouts.
For such a small car the interior space is actually pretty good, I am 188cm tall and I dont hit my head on the roof! The biggest problem internally is the lack of storage areas and drinks holders. I am being critical here! Generally I like the little thing!
Although Mercedes Benz have sold quite a few here, I think the major problem with these things is the new car price ( from $19,990 dealer delivery on roads) Unfortunately $ 24000 does buy you a well specced 1.8 litre- 2.0 litre car.
Early impressions are good, ideal city car, now I am beginning to wonder what the SMART roadster drives like?
