They have operas that last for six hours and no translatable word for fluffy!

As a motoring nation, I love the Germans.
They, as a people have an innate ability to give a two finger salute to the rest of the world without grace or favour. Who else would build a race-track with a 20 kilometre lap distance? Who else would build a road system (in parts) with no speed limits? Who else would build a car with an engine in the rear and continue to build it for nearly sixty years without major changes? Well thanks to Audi, they are at it again!
The new Audi RS6 Avant has arrived and if you ever wondered what 572bhp and all wheel drive would feel like in a station wagon, you now have your chance to find out!
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 40 valve 5.0 litre V10, Audi like all other German manufacturers live under a gentlemans agreement which limits top speeds to 155mph (250kmh). Destricted it will continue on to 175mph or 280Kmh.
Redlined at just under seven thousand RPM, The six speed automatic transmission will aid in propelling you to 100kmh in 4.6 seconds! If however, you worry about the polar ice caps and Amazonian jungles you probably need to look at Audi's more sensible Avants, perhaps a turbo-diesel? As this baby returns about 20mpg.
As you pound round the Nurburgring, rest assured that Audi have build a family wagon sufficently quick enough to make the family labrador (maybe that should German Shepherd) carsick.
Leave Rover at home!
