The Red flags flying as we march on 10 year plan

The Australian new vehicle market already offers the new vehicle purchaser a veritable cornucopia of choices. Regardless of which sector you look at, the competing models within each one is complete and sometimes confusing.
2009 heralds the arrival of the first ( probably of many) Chinese built brands to arrive in Australia. The CHERY brand will be imported by Ateco Automotive, they are taking three passenger models initially. Chery is the largest independant vehicle manufacturer in China, now I say independant because the bulk of Chinese manufacturers are involved in a joint venture of some description or another with the usual suspects.
Other Chinese brands are making their way out into the world, one of which Geely, has had their cars crash tested in Russia! The Geely Zi You Jian (which translates as Freedom vessel) scored so miserably that even the Chinese press dubbed it the Death vessel! Not a good start then! Not all Chinese cars are this bad, the Lifan scored Five stars.
Now if like me, you look at YOUTUBE occassionally, you should punch in the search term " Chinese crash tests" but only do so on an empty stomach ,YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Who said the Chinese have no sense of humour, this monster is the latest model from First Auto Works, the Hongqi (Bless You!) is a Rolls Royce Phantom clone powered by a V12! and it can be bought for around $600,000 US. Makes the Phantom look like a bargain really.
See some comrades are more equal than others!
