Swedish model seeks sugar daddy!

First the good news from Volvo! They show us the sexy new S60, it is a prototype and of course the real one will be a little less exciting. If only the S60 looked like the P1800 (sigh!)
The bad news? Turn it upside down and somewhere on the floorpan it will have "Made in China" imprinted on it! Thats right, Ford is going crazy, crazy, crazy, slashing prices and brands! Come on down !
Out of the two Swedish makers, Volvo has probably stuck closest to its original principles under American ownership. SAAB has withered and is nearly dead. Seriously though, what does the future hold for Volvo? At the moment it is for sale and the only people with any cash to throw around seem to be the Chinese manufacturers. The hot favourites at the moment are Geely or Chery but that is subject to change at any time. This Swedish model definately needs a sugar daddy!
No matter what happens, Autoloud knows that the stalwart of Swedish motoring will no longer be the same.
