Smart for more than two!
March 16th 2009 14:29
Sorry for my tardiness!
Now, since you asked, Maxwell is well, Well!
The Smart for Two that took up residence at stately AUTOLOUD manor some months ago and was quickly christened “Maxwell” has proven himself time after time.
Now the little car is not perfect, far from it. There are no internal storage areas which is a pain at times, He does tends to ride a little rough over choppy road surfaces, so much so that I am sure that I could now ride a bucking Bronco!
Maxwell has lovely manners. He really does not drink a lot. I have not worked out an accurate figure but he sips somewhere about 4-5 litres per 100 kilometres, not bad considering this is all urban running.
The news that Mercedes Benz are now looking at building a Smart for two plus two (or a four seater version of the smart) has caught my interest but of course being a Mercedes Benz, it will not be cheap. By the time it gets here in 2012 there could also be a small VW (up!) and I can’t believe I am saying this, but the Toyota iQ.
That means I still have three years to fill in, Mmmm, wonder how the Fiat 500 diesel drives?
HOT NEWS: Lada have asked the Russian government for 26 Billion roubles of state aid, I know that is only about 12.00 US dollars or 300 Euro, but do everyone a favour, just say NYET!
