Music on the move!

Sir Alec Issoginis, the genius who designed the original Mini, decided that his creation should not have an aperture for a radio, as he considered them a distraction!
Of course this was a guy who also designed the door bins in the same car big enough to fit a bottle of gin into, priorities, priorities!
AUTOLOUD is lucky in that my commute is no more than a ten minute drive away from Autoloud Manor. This should not cause a lot of problems but I have found myself becoming more and more impatient and grumpy with the short drive. Seeing people block two lanes of the road, doing 25 kmh in a 40kmh zone is really starting to annoy the hell out of me.
Maybe it is my age, after all I used to drive in Sydney traffic and survived!
The reason has now become obvious to me; it was the music I have been listening to!
Although I enjoy heavy metal music as much as the next black t-shirt and leather clad man, while behind the wheel I prefer something softer. I can’t stand talkback, it is full of people who have nothing better to do (on both sides of the microphone!), commercial stations seem to play the same songs on a half hourly basis and I am sorry but there is only so many times in one day, you can listen to Brittany Spears or Mariah Carey or whoever you happen to hate this minute!
Driving in Sydney was made was made far more bearable when I adopted the classical stations for my listening pleasure. Even a culture vulture like me has learned much about the classics. You will appreciate the Adagio, be overjoyed at the overture and may well swoon at the symphonies.
It has another benefit too, If you turn up the 1812 overture enough, the cannons at the end of the piece will even drown out the Boom-tish Boom-tish that you would normally hear from the lowered Lancer coupe/ Subaru WRX next door at the lights!
