Lotus and come on feel the noise!

Okay, so you like sports cars but you have a strong social conscious.
Is global warming your sworn enemy? Then the Lotus Evora hybrid is the car for you.
Now call me old fashioned but I do like the effortless feel of horsepower underfoot and while there is still ice at the poles manufacturers offer plenty of options in real performance cars that don’t need plugging in at night.
Why do I bring up the Evora Hybrid? Well believe or not the most interesting part of the car is what is known as the “Lotus safe and sound technology”. Huh? You may well ask. Now this is not a safety system, it is a system which enables the driver of said hybrid Lotus to choose the noise they hear within the cabin.
Remember hybrids feature little engine noise and sound not unlike your friendly home vacuum cleaner. This technology allows the owner to customise the sound effects they hear within the cabin, so your hybrid can make “Brrrm Brrrm” noises just like that V12 or a big block V8 you really wanted!
This technology does not stop there, as a warning to pedestrians and visually impaired folk it also allows the driver to choose an exterior soundtrack too!
Imagine if you will the endless possibilities this will allow: a Mercedes G -Wagen that plays the “Ride of the Valkyries” as it does the school run, or a Smart car that sounds like a Ferrari 250 GTO.
The best part is, this system could also be used for evil purposes: A car that makes Ice cream delivery van noises would keep the local kids busy and confused for hours or alternatively you could make your local boy racers toy sound just like the Wonkamobile!
Maybe it could be ipod compatible - Heavy Metal for hard acceleration and some nice Bach or Mozart for cruising along at the speed limit.
Autoloud thinks a Volvo 240 that imitates a Supermarine Spitfire complete with screaming Merlin V12 should get the job done!
