Indian Chief rides again!

Autoloud would never describe himself as a bike enthusiast, but!
One of my favourite movies of all time is " The Fastest Indian". Watching the story of that wily old Kiwi, Bert Munro was a learning experience for me. Obviously I knew of Indian but the more I found out about Indian motorcycles the more I admired them.
Those magnificent Art deco lines, for so long a feature, have been recaptured beautifully for the release of the new 2009 Indian Chief. Powered by a 1500cc V-Twin coupled with a (normal) six speed gearbox. This latest iteration of the great name will be available in four versions including a vintage edition. Available in three solid colours or seven two-tone colour combos, You can also choose between long or short fenders.
Autoloud found it hard to comprehend that somewhere in the not too distant past,Harley Davidson dealers were issued a directive by HD head office to crush all the Indians they traded/ part exchanged / found!
